Spirit of Maat: Ascension is a word that we bandy about as if we knew what it meant. I don't know about you but I hear it mentioned at least once a day. Sometimes I even get cornered by people who appear to be authorities on the subject and they all have something different to say.

Since the topic happens to be one of the burning questions of the day, and because everyone has their own thoughts about it, I thought it would be good to find out how all of you define it for your selves. My purpose in asking the question, "how do you define Ascension? How do your see us/your selves going through that process?" has to do with the idea that if we are about to have this experience, it behooves us to try to understand, or at least talk about, what it could entail.

We invite those of you who think along these lines to share your Ascension perceptions with us. Whatever you can do to enlighten us on the subject is welcome. With any luck your answers will open the space for some common truth to reveal it self, and at the very least provide food for thought.

Kiara Windrider: A very significant question, thanks for this opportunity to respond!  According to some of the research I have done on this theme,  a process of  mass planetary ascension gets initiated at the end of each galactic age of roughly 12,000 years.  From a scientific perspective this has to do with the periodic entry into our solar system of a galactic beam composed of cosmic and gamma rays emanating from a Mother Star at the center of our Milky Way galaxy.

As a response to the highly charged polarity of this ‘galactic superwave’, the plasma shields at the edge of our solar system break down, allowing significant amounts of cosmic dust to get pushed into our solar system,  in turn generating extremes of activity within the Sun as well as a sequence of events within the Earth and other planets.  The climate changes we are currently experiencing are the beginnings of this sequence of changes.

At the peak of this  next cycle of activity, and initiated by coronal mass ejections from the Sun, we could once again expect a magnetic polar reversal on the Earth and other planets, accompanied by a quantum increase in the base harmonic frequency of matter.  The magnetic fields of our planet are directly linked to our collective memory fields.  As this geomagnetic field collapses and realigns it would initiate a collapse of our ego self followed by a realignment with our immortal being.  Simultaneously, as the vibrational frequency of our physical body upshifts, we become capable of embodying the frequency of our soul. As our souls incarnate more fully into these higher-vibrational bodies, the process of ascension begins, and we transition to the next phase of our evolution as divine humans.

The last time this galactic superwave moved through our solar system was perhaps 11,500 or 12,000 years ago, culminating in the sinking of Atlantis.  I believe that this was also accompanied by a process of planetary ascension.  Those who were ready to move on and merge with their light bodies were enabled to use the incoming energies to make this shift, while those whose frequencies were not attuned to these galactic energies remained behind to sink beneath the waves.

We are the ones who remained, slowly evolving again over the next twelve millenia to a stage of evolution where we can use the incoming energies to make our ascension this time around, if we choose to.  I see ascension as a merging of the physical body with the light body. It is a process whereby the vibrational resonance of our bodies can be raised from one octave to the next, just like electrons within an atom make a quantum shift from one orbit to the next when energy is added to the system.

I do believe that there are ascended masters here at this time to help us through this dimensional transition.  It is possible that many of them presently here have been around since the last phase of mass planetary ascension, although it is also possible that a few of them were able to transform their bodies into light through systematic alchemical training in various mystery school traditions since then.

The Mayans understood the nature of galactic time, and their calendar is an attempt to track galactic events within a linear timetable.  It is possible that the ending of the Mayan calendar is a marker for the timing of the next galactic superwave to pass through our solar system, possibly generating the same sequence of physical and energetic changes that would trigger the next period of mass ascension activity. 

Interestingly, Pluto has been conjuncting the galactic center for the past year, which has opened up a transformational doorway for many of us.  To the extent we are attached to our current ego identities this is not always such an easy or pleasant process, but it does clear a path for our souls to step through. As Pluto moves into Capricorn, it will open up a doorway for these energies to be further grounded within our bodies and within the energy fields of Mother Earth.
